Dog Rules

Dogs are welcome at the Aspen Inn. We are very dog-friendly and we have a great area for doggies to go exploring. So don’t leave the “other” family member(s) at home...bring them along. They’ll have just as much fun as you!

1. If your people forgot your water or food dish, just use this handy bucket.

2. If your people forgot your bed or blanket, just use this blanket. You can even put it on your people's bed if you like to sleep with them.

3. If your people let you swim or get dirty, just use this towel for drying off or clean-up. And, if you need more towels for more icky stuff, just bark!

4. Sometimes people don't realize how easily dogs can become frightened when left alone in a strange "den". So, please insist that your people do not leave you alone in the room.

5. Our people, and other people who do not have dogs ~ by the way, who wouldn't want a dog? ~ really appreciate when your people use the "poop" bags provided for picking up your messes. And, if you need more, just howl!

6. Highway 62 is a very busy road. Please insist your people keep you on a leash whenever you are out in the front of the motel.  Behind the cabins and down by the river are great places to run free! It's also a good idea for your people to keep you on a leash whenever strange dogs are around.

7. Thanks for sniffing here. We hope you and your people had a good time and will come again!

Dog Poem

Dogs are welcome in this motel.

We never had a dog that smoked in bed.

and set fire to the blankets.

We never had a dog who stole our towels,

played the tv too loud, or had a noisy fight with

his traveling companion.

We never had a dog that got drunk

and broke up the furniture.

So...

If your dog can vouch for you,

You're welcome Too!
