Activities

Please make note of the Happy Trails Cowboy Campground – featuring the horseback and wagon rides.

Pinnacles Hiking Trail, 13 miles from Fort Klamath, an easy mile with a slight incline. It follows a canyon rim to Pinnacle Valley with great views of Pinnacles, then enters Crater Lake National Park.  Most of the trail is gravel, but some is dusty. No water or bathrooms. No Pets Allowed. Directions: Go 2 miles north of Fort Klamath on Hwy 62, & turn right on Road 624/Dixon Rd.  Continue until Dixon T's at Road 2300/Sun Mountain Rd. Turn left and take Sun Mountain North past Kimball State Park, off the paved road onto gravel and heading uphill.  8 miles past Kimball Park, turn left at milepost 16 onto Road 2304. You'll see the "Pinnacle Trailhead 4 miles" sign.

Crater Lake National Park,

Jackson Kimball State Park, Fee camping at the Wood River headwaters.

Wood River Picnic Area, Day use, toilet, Paved dock, handicap access to fishing platforms.

Oux-Kanee Overlook, Day use, picnic tables, toilet.  Popular for outdoor weddings.

Spring Creek Picnic Area, Day use, toilet.  Headwaters of the creek bubble out of the ground.

Williamson River Campground, Camping, toilet, drinking water, no hookups.

Collier State Park & Logging Museum, Picnic & camping, mid April through October.  Full hookups, tent sites, restrooms with hot showers, RV dump station.  One of the nation's largest outdoor logging museums, with a pioneer village.  Hiking, biking, bird-watching, fishing.  46000 Hwy 97 N. 541-783-2471

Petric County Park, Day use, boat launch, toilet.

Wood River Wetlands, 3,200 incredible acres managed by the BLM to improve water quality and wildlife habitat.  Day use area that includes includes parking lot, restrooms and picnic tables, canoe/kayak launch, a half-mile paved trail, and 10 miles of unpaved trails.  Motorized vehicles restricted.

Henzel County Park.  Day use, restroom, boat launch, drinking water.

Train Mountain.  An one-eighth scale railroad.  Donations taken for 14 minute ride through forest, tunnels, and across bridges.  Sundays 10am - 3 pm., Memorial Day to Labor Day.  HC Box 1041 Chiloquin.  541-783-7763.

Eagle Ridge County Park. Free camping, boat launch, toilet, drinking water.  Off of Hwy 140 at Eagle Ridge Rd, between Klamath Falls & Rocky Point.
